My specialty is health psychology. Health psychology is the field of applied psychology aiming at maintain and promote physical and psychological health. Moreover, health psychology is a research field closely related to other areas such as public health, epidemiology, sociology as well as the fields and results of various psychology areas. In particular, I am interested in the various factors relating to health and well-being, and I am trying to examine the mechanism of health-related behaviors and conduct preventive studies. My research includes studying smoking prevention for junior and senior high school students and elucidating the palatability in eating behaviors. Recently, I am particularly interested in the function of positive emotions, and I am also studying about the subjective happiness and human strengths. I am conducting psychological research on prevention studies for health promotion and social contribution.
